First attempt at a chip amp build. Decided to get some cheap DIY LM1875 board kits off ebay for the amps and a DIY rectifier board. Picked up a few of the transformers locally for a good deal about a year ago. Laser cut the enclosure out of thin plywood and acrylic. 3D printed brackets to hold all the sides together. Sounds pretty good for only $40 invested.

A lot of the other forums have a permanent photo gallery for projects, so why not the Chip Amp forum?

I will kick this off with my newly finished Chip Amp and let the moderators decide if this should be a permanent thread or not.

This is an LM3886 based Chip Amp using PCBs from www.chipamp.com.

The tranny is a Piltron 160VA 22V transformer with 15000uF caps and snubbers.

For a more laid back sound, I went with Carbon Film resistors.

The results really surprised me. The Chip Amp sounds better than I expected and better than it should consider the cost.
very informative

Hi guys!
Want to show you my first about redy TDA2009 chip amp. It's only need to finish its case.
It sounds good, hasn't any hum or extraneous noise.
22 V DC, 4400 uF capacitors in power supply. PCB is made to datasheet layout.

LM3886 board (100x100mm) and adapter for SURE DSP.
LM3886 circuit board is made in such a way that up to 4 pieces can be put on top of each other. Fuse, rectifier, transformer and relay control need only once.
At the top, you can also mount the board with the SURE DSP, the 5Volt power supply is also provided by the power supply of the amplifier.
So you can quickly and easily build a stereo power amplifier, or a 2+1 or 2 way fully active.

My_Ref by Mauro Penasa. Kit by Twisted Pair.

Amp is burning in behind me as I type this... Ridiculously good for the money.

Excuse the binding posts as they are temporary but that was the only insulated posts I had at the house.
