I started this amp last Spring and only just got around to finishing it. The chassis is 1/4" aluminum, held together with stainless screws. The top and bottom panels are perforated aluminum and the side panels are cherry.
Silver-clad copper wire is used for the connections to the power supply board and to the speaker outputs with teflon spaghetti tubing from McMaster-Carr for insulation. The heat sink is made from a piece of titanium-clad copper buss bar, which I milled to remove the titanium on one side. I use a 10K Noble pot from Electronics Goldmine for volume control. I'm intending to use it in my bedroom with a Squeezebox to pull music from my server. Now I just need to make a small set of speakers. |

I bought the perforated aluminum from McMaster-Carr, which probably isn't any better than ordering from Online Metals.

Is that a Noble Pot?
How did you make the connection to it? solder right to the leads or use some fancy clips?

Yes, it is a noble pot and I soldered directly to the leads.
