Default My completed BPA300+

After many long nights, and 4 previous proto types I finally got the real deal working. 360 watts per channel at .1% THD from 5Hz to 50Khz +/- 2db. based on a non inverting non-servoed design utilizing a propriatary NFB design with global FFEC, current feed through power supplys, dual 635VA transformers 50K of capacitance per channel.

My original thought was to produce a BPA unit that is more stable then a single chip, able to drive low ohm loads and have enough power to avoid any type of dynamic compression, and sound as good if not better.Click the image to open in full size.

PS this is based on the LM3875 chip 6 per channel, at 38VDC+/-

Nice clean design, well done. How does it sound? Any chance of a peek at your schematic?

Default How does it sound??

Well, a little back ground is in order. I hated power op amps and IC's you know all those old STK modules. One day I stumbled upon a review of a "chip-amp" they made it out to be the next best thing to sonic nirvana, I of course thought what a bunch of BS
But I did some more investigating and alot of people agree, so of I went to national to order up some samples. I put together a very straight forward LM3875 non inverted chip amp with the normal high quality components, plugged it into my infinity IRS beta clones and was amazed
That was that, I was hooked so of to build a chip amp that could replace my Bi-amped Infinty clones. My original amps a Carver 4.0t for the bottom and a Krell KSA200 for the top.

As for the sound, well I think that would be open to interpertation, Open sound stage VERY open alot of depth, wider frequency response with no loss in dynamics at any level she keeps on going and going, Holy-bass OMG punch that will move you across the floor. Open and airy mids a piano is a piano, treble that puts angels in heaven to shame.
As for the schematic, I am toying with a comercial unit maybe
