LM3886 Rane MA 3 Amplifier

I was evaluating the Rane MA 3 Multichannel Amplifier schematic

I wonder the function of the two transistors and LED circuit on pin 8 (mute pin) of the LM3886.

Did anyone analyze or simulate this part of the circuit?

I found no reference on the LM3886 data sheet / application note nor on this forum about this topology. Usually on this pin you find a resistor plus a capacitor.
