Default LM3886 for dummies?

I have done some research, and want to begin my journey into a quite good sounding chip amp.
I am a totally newbie when it comes to chip amps. However I have read some information, both on diyaudio and on other sites.
The more I read the more stupid I get it seems
Some of the threads I have tried to get through:
My "audiophile" LM3886 approach
and
Improving the Non-Inverting chipamp
and
http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/nuukspot/...ainclone6.html
and
http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/nuukspot/...clonesnub.html
and
http://www.chipamp.com/lm3886.shtml

Conclusion I will make a simple chip amp. One LM3886/channel.
One PSU for both channels. I think I will make the PSU snubberized and regulated.

Where can anyone find Carlos' latest schematics? Is it the best there is?

And a good LM3886 circuit.

This is what I already have.
2 pcs LM3886
2 pcs LM338
1 pcs 2*28v - 500 VA trannie
lots of good diodes for the bridge rectifying.
in order:
some 10000uf Mundorf caps - 50v

Of course I need more parts, but I will by them when I have a complete parts list in front of me.

Any good advice on how to start?

Best Regards

28v trannie i a bit on a high side. After rectification , you will get ~37 V. It is OK if you plan to drive 8 ohm loadspeakers , but for 4 ohms, you will get Spike protection activating.Parraleling two chips would be a workaround.
Remember - the larger the heatsink , the better.

Yes I know, that is why I was planning to regulate it so I can get approx 30V out. The speakers I was planning to use on it was a pair of Audio Note AN/J. Should be fairly easy to drive.
Has anyone experience with different set of caps and resistors?
I am hoping I can get a blir "warm" sound from it.

Best Regards

AFAIK, the latest versions of Carlos' snubber circuits are on the snubberised GC page at Decibel Dungeon.

I would say no, but there are many, many people who would disagree.

Missed that bit! I would say that I prefer the discrete regulated supply designed by Pedja Rogic (or SMPS).
