5.1 CPU output to amplified hi-fi speakers

I recently got a docking station for my computer that has 5.1 audio outputs. I also have some good speakers and a sub-woofer I'd like to use, but they are have speaker wire connections. I also have a couple of old reciever/amps but they don't have 5.1 connections. What is the easiest way to connect my old hi-fi speakers to the 5.1 (3 jack) computer outputs? Is there a way to use my old receiver/amps or is there a product that can take 5.1 8mm plug and output to the speakers?

Run left/right stereo out of the dock into a cable with 1/8" stereo mini plug on one end to RCA stereo pair on the other. To get surround, get more speakers and amplifiers. The sub can come out of your mains receiver, or if you enable the center/sub channel in your PC, then another cable will plug it into the dock. Etc., etc., etc.
