This is my first real DIY project and I am ignorant to some of the knowledge you all could live with forgetting!

First, should I build the pair in series or parallel? I am looking for the cleanest sound-not the loudest.

Second, What would be the ideal transformer mate? 400VA?

It has been suggested to me that parallel would be better with a balance source connected to the amp.
ummm-What the hell is a balance source!LOL
Like I said, I really want to learn, but have a ton to learn.

Please kindly help!?
