I'm trying to fix a small amp I found (Scott rs-1000) where the power relay clicks off with no sign of life, and I found the resistors I have to replace. According to euras.com two cement encased wire wound ones near the takeup that read "1W1ohmK" in red are almost always the culprit, and my multimeter confirms that one of them is open. However euras.com confuses me when they suggest I replace with the equivelent but in 1/2 watt resistors, and what's written on them is misleading because it looks like 1 watt / 1k ohm, yet my multimeter confirms the working one is only 1 ohm.

So should I go with 1/2 watt or 1 watt resistors, cement encased with wire wound or regular ceramic carbon filament, 1ohm or 1 kilo ohm *&^@#! etc ...
