if u get a good mono pcb u can use it to get a stereo configuration, how?? just build two mono amps.stick cardboards to the solder side of the amp pcbs(after u have constructed the amp), and stick the both amps back to back from the cardboard side.since lm386 is flat n so r its most components(make the electros lie flat on the pcbs),,this method is useful to save space bec onle net thickness inc not the width. connect thegnd wire of the input so u get three input wires with the input gnd wire being common connect the power supply wires of both mono amps now for the 'new' stereo amp u have three i/p wires, two power i/p wires and four audio output wires i have used this method to save space in pre amp design using tlo72.the thickness increased but width was decreased drastically thus fitting the whole system in a small cube which gave me 'pre amp cube' and not the conventional 'sweets box' design style of most of the circuits. rest as u wish |

believe me. LM386's are not enough for those.
I have used a similar looking driver and they require a bit more power since they are inefficient. you need about a watt or two to make them loud enough. for a simple stereo amp you could try looking for LM1877. it is already a stereo amp in one 14pin DIP. I have used it (took it off a PC soundcard) and it works fine, not that loud though. if you want, you could try a sonic impact. they will have more than enough power for those speakers. |

the LM1877 requires only a few parts. building it is about the same as building an LM386. type "LM1877" in yahoo or google to look for its datasheet.
for the sonic impact, you can do a search around this forum. there are lots of info about it here. |

But the sonic impact isnt a chip?!?
I think i build a amp from the LM1877 instead of buying the sonic impact... //Elias |
