Everything AndrewT said. The old bla-bla about "ceramics being bad for audio" is BS - its just as matter of the right dielectric. NP0/COG is fine for pF values such as used in input filters and compensation. They dont "sound" of anything.

What about tantalum caps? Are they recommended for audio applications?

Hardest job I find with SMD is removing them from the plastic sleeve they come in.
