Default LM3875 amp finished!! Photo's

I recently finished my LM3875 gainclone project. I designed my own PCB and build an alu case from scratch. It is now playing perfectly, no hum or noise and no "pops" when turning on and off.

The amp has an external power supply, as can be seen at the photo's.

Excellent work. Are the heatsinks solid bars?

As you can see on the photo's on my website, the heatsinks are no solid alu blocks. They are taken from an old DC AC converter.

Yes, excellent work.

I often wonder if some of these GC amps will be found in say a hundred years time and become valuable antiques.

This sort of example should certainly survive that long and have some intrinsic value as a piece of craftsmanship too!

Looks great! This is just like what I'm planning, a simple 2 channel gainclone on LM3875's. I'm curious how you made the chassis though...

Thanks for the info and photos!
