Could any-body suggest a component supplier that supplies Australia.I have already tried Farnell and Dick Smith.I am building a Gainclone and will soon start building speakers.

What sort of components are you after?
Jaycar (www.jaycar.com.au) should be able to supply you with nearly all items (except some esoteric audio stuff). If you plan on building the snubberised version of the gainclone (as per carlosfm's schematic), then some of the components are harder to get in Australia. You should check out www.mouser.com for those as they stock everything under the sun and have reasonable postage rates to Australia ($12 USD up to 4 pounds in weight). Also check out Ebay for electronic components as they have some real bargains there too (well, for us Aussies anyway). Again shipping is reasonable and the item ultimately costs a lot less than the equivalent cost in Australia (even including the postage cost). |
