Question POWER !! I need power ..

Hi ,

I need at least 500W RMS , 8Ohm from a design ..
I can't find a schematic that work and can provide me that much power .

I think about building a Chip amp .. maybe some STK chips will help .. i don't know .. any of you have an idee ?
Maybe two STK4050 ( 1 x 200 W ) will help .. i don't know ...

THANKS !!!
Mihai .

If you look at the "Bridged Amplifier" threads you will get an idea of what needs to be done.

Most of the threads may only have 2 chips bridged together but many more could be added to the chain increasing the power.

Threads like "BPA200" are popular in the chipamp forum.
I have never built a bridged amplifer myself but it seems fairly simple if you are familiar with electronics.

Also check out the Solid state and Class D forums for more high power designs.

Go to class D... cheap modules, already made, small power supply because of high efficency, very interesting and good sound. Maybe a UcD400... www.hypex.nl
