Circuit for analog VU meter

I want to connect an analog VU meter to my gainclone. I've found some schematics for LED meters, but nothing for analog. Can someone point me to a schematic?

Uh, no.
A VU meter has a logarithmic scale, and a standard AC meter is linear. A linear meter is completely useless as a VU meter.
