Calculation formula help request; 20 gain is equivalent to how many decibles???

Hello,

I am a newby at opamp building and am making my first pocket chip mic preamp.

I already have the resistors to set it at 20 gain.

However, how does this translate into decibles?

I would like to finally finish this first chip project but am totally lost.

The usual websearches were done but I could not find the formula that converts "X" gain = "X" decibles.

I feel like a goof! Please help!!!!

D=20log(Uout/Uin)
power gain in dB:
D=10log(Pout/Pin)
current gain in dB:
D=20log(Iout/Iin)

for your occasion:
D=20log(20)=26dB voltage gain
