Hello,
I'm currently working on a 4 channel amp based off of two LM4780s, and I'm not really sure how to go about keeping the audio levels balanced between the four speakers. I've made a nice stepped attenuator wired up with 1% tol resistors to make a volume control, but how do I go about using it for all four channels? Is it possible? Thanks! Jay |

I think your options for balance now are building another attenuator and you should have left-right balance. if you also want back-front, you will need another 2 attenuators (4 mono ones) |

You need a Variable Resister that is ganged. specifically 4 identical variable resistors on the same rod that rotate as one. then you will be adjusting them all at once.
You can find these in old quadrphonic amplifiers as the main volume control

Yeah, mine only can do two channels at once. I'll look into grabbing one that can do four - thanks.
