ultimate pre amp 113db S/N and distortion s almost 0. Is it better than Krell preamp
Creative AUDIGY 4 PRO sound card with 113db SNR and i think this is the best preamp than any other.... like Bryston or Krell or what ever it may be....
well what is the diff between the above sound card and the Bryston or Krell pre amps... what is the quality difference..? |

their stuff is made for a totally other target audience than high end audio. they used pmpo watt ratings on their speakers until a couple of years back, that goes to show.

I am talking about the SOUND CARD not the speakers ...
their speakers are not audiophile... |

well the only prob with creative EMU cards are their freq range is limited like 20Hz to 20kHz so as the
creative AUDIGY 4 PRO goes beyond the 40khz ... actually im planning to go for the SCANSPEAK RING RADIATOR with Phase plug.....( which crosses over 100kHz) and this spec makes the SACD and DVD audio to be perfect... so i am in search of amp which uses this 100khz range... |

well CREATIVE is using the cirrus logc chips so i think they are awesome...
in AUDIGY 4 PRO cards they have used the BEST of CIRRUS LOGIC DACs... so im expecting outstanding quality... |

but practically cannot ....but human perception of very high freq is proven... check this......
The first tweeter ( Ring Radiator ) but i really dont understand how is it possible to hear 100khz !!!!!!!! but what ive heard that thest tweeters give the smoothest treble ( that is what i love ) http://www.d-s-t.com.au/Ventura/ScanSpeak.htm |
