Can I expect problems if I mount the transformer and rectifier in the power supply case and the filter caps in another? I plan to try the amp first with snubbers ala Carlos and perhaps regulators at a later date. I would keep the grounds for the + and – supplies separate until they reach the board (Brian Gt 3875) then tie them to the star ground and from the star ground back to the PS case and then to mains ground. Also has anyone tried a slightly larger cap on the chip pins than Carlos calls for? I have some 450uf that I would like to use if they won’t screw up the snubber.
