How much power do MOSFET chip amps draw with no load? I'm talking about the bridged circuits that get used in typical car stereo's (14 v supply).
Some head units get mighty hot when running a full set of 4 speakers. I'm curious how much heat would be generated if the speakers were left unconnected.
Any rules of thumb, or specs on typical chips?
