This is not a thread to discuss att's vs pots, there are enough of those. What i'm after are ideas on biulding your own attenuator.
I have seen a couple of pics of Peter Daniels and they look very nice, so i would like to build something along those lines. If anyone has any good ideas, it would be nice to hear them. As i said earlier, i know there are other threads, but they just seem to end up in debates. I would like some really useful tips and designs, mainly for use with GC's. |

Have a look at this thread I posted a while ago. It shows an attentuator project I use for building attenuators on the cheap. They aren't the greatest attenuators, but they aren't half-bad either. It'll at least give you a starting point.

One of the best resource available on the web for stepped attenuator is here : www.platenspeler.com
I build two 12 step ladder attenuators using its advice and the calculator and it's working great ! |
