Can i use a 5532 but with the opamps in paralel?
I would want to use this circuit http://www.tnt-audio.com/clinica/dynamicopamp_e.html but with unity gain and with some easy to find (like the 553*) and inexpensive opamp. I could use the 5534 but i don't have the tools to compensate it into unity gain (osciloscope etc.). I tried sometime in the past with 5534 but didn't compensate (or not quite right) and it wouldn't work, it had high dc output & i guess it was oscillating (no surprise here now that i think of it). Or can i just use a paralel 5532 for a line driver ? Will there be any problems, load sharing resistors, bias differences ? |

there was no page where the link pointed..
well, you can parallell opamps, but there's one important rule and that is to use a resistor in series with the output and after that resistor you can tie the outputs together, those particular resistors makes sure that those opamps feels good and delivers!! >opamp output >------[4,7ohm]------->connect with other opamp/resistor it doesn't matter if they're on the same chip or not..

by the way... there was a guy who buildt a poweramplifier using an unholy amount of small opamps.. just parallelling them into one output.. if i remeber correctly there was 44 pcs per channel!!
-i can't remember his homepage, but i'm sure it's out there...

The link is ok from here.
That's the amp. I allmost fell from my chair when i first saw it. I'm not that crazy. I just don't have the finances to buy one of those really hi-end opamps hence this idea. If you really can't see the page, here is a zip of it. |
