You could most likely use a OPA2134

JRC4558 is a low cost and dual version of the 'high-end' opamp uA741. :D

Lars, a bit better than 741 but not much.

Lars and P-A are right, this opamp is crap. There are so many better alternatives out there, that you should not even be considering using it. People rip these things out of their CD players and other equipment and throw them in the garbage.

You can use just about any dual op-amp in it's place (just be mindful of really high-speed ones, as they can become unstable easily). Try the NE5532 (yeah that's right, I said it!) or LM833 if you are on a budget, and if you are feeling generous, try a OPA2132, OPA2134, or OPA2604. If you want to stick with the Japanese ones, the JRC/NJM 4580 or JRC/NJM 2114 are much much better than the 4558. (Note that "NJM" has replaced "JRC" in part numbers. Always try searching for both).

This is how the 4558 started: The MC1458/SA1458/MC1558 consists of a pair of 741 operational amplifiers on a single chip.
