Analogue stage of cd players. But my question is general beter replacement for this OPs in sound quality and specifications.

I'm sure this topic has been covered before in the Digital forum!

But this is one of those topics where you will get as many suggestions as there are opamps in your parts supplier's catalogue. As ever, it's more a question of trying a few to see which [b]you[.b] like the best! And much depends on how much you want to spend!

Arne, wash your ears - 604 have hearable bigger distortion and distortion isn't music.

Whoha Upupa, I absolutely agree.

Compared to the OPA132/2132 (or 4) the OPA(2)604 has a "raw", less defined, more "scratchy" midband and treble.
Also, the (2)132 has real BASS dynamics.
