Default GC optimized for Bass, mid, or treble

Im about to build a 6 channel gainclone amp for an active 3 way system. I have 4780s in parrellel powering my bass drivers (120watts into 4ohms), 4780s in parrellel powering my mids, and 4780s non inverted powering my tweeters.

Is there a way to optimize each channel for the range of frequencies its playing (changing the caps or something.) I noticed on linkwitz's website that he suggests different caps for bass and treble for the 3886, so im just wondering what to do with the LM4780?

Also, where is a cheap place to get aluminum?

Thanks
Alex

Alex,

I think you could optimize the different amps, but it might take some experimenting. I would play with operating voltage and capacitance, and if you are not determined to play with just one chip (nothing against the 4780), then bringing some more alternatives in might make more room for optimization. By the way, will you be filtering the signal or will you use passive XOs?

Default all active

my xos are all active, before the amp. This is why i really want to optimize each channel for a certain frequency range.

I figure that I should probably have more filter capacitance on the bass and use the usual 1000uF on the tweeter, but im new to this and i dont really know.

If you are using active filtering, it would be foolish to add extra filtering for high or low pass.

Using more than 10.000uF on the bass amps would be good, and 1000uF on the bass/mid amps.

Do yo have pictures of your setup ? Or Schematics of your xo's ? Can i see ?
