The MUR860 diodes have a maximum current output of 8A.
The maximum current output from a LM3886 is 11.5A. Are these diodes in a rectifier bridge still suitable if you are planning to get close to maximum power out of a LM3886? |

I suspect that 8A diodes will work pretty good. You don't take out 11.5 A continuously (the LM3886 won't handle it) and secondly, the music isn't DC current. Notice also that the diodes will share the current because you have four of them.
I have an option for TO247/TO220 diodes in my QRP02 amp just for flexibility. I my case I have also fuses which breaks long for before 11.5A

Do these diodes need to be placed on a heatsink?

Maximum ("non-repetitive surge current") is 100A. |

Realistically, it can be considered the "peak repetitive forward current", 16A. ON Semi datasheet, page 2. |

Does "non-repetitive" mean that the diode is no longer in a good state to take any current after it has taken that surge???

It means that you can't do it again and have a working diode. I think this diode will work just fine. Anybody who has blown a 8 A diode under normal conditions and with fuses?
