Default Binding posts for the gainclone

I realize that this is a boring topic that has been beat to death but I couldn't resist bringing it up again.

Just surfing the net I came across the pomona brand connectors that are made for test systems. They have gold plated tellurium copper binding posts and spades are reasonable prices so I was hoping that someone had given them a try. The binding posts are 3770 and the spades are 2305.

Searching the regular audio boards I found few references. I found few enough references that I might give them a try, at $3.50 a binding post from Sacramento Electronic Supply I don't think I can go wrong. Either way I don't imagine that it will change the sound of my gainclone any.

I would even put money on it!

But if they look nice and don't cost too much, why not give them a try and report back here?

I would try those posts if I have lots of cash to spare and nothing else to tweak with my system already.

Not trying to be mean here, but input RCAs, yes, go for high quality types, but output posts, any decently-made will do for me.

To peranders : You are absolutely correct - Ruthstrat are the best, any pointless blables on pages, honest fine work ( I have 63 A ones ). Why do you mean, that use it Dieter Burmester ? .

Here is a link to the original product information, since the picture in post 1 stopped working.

It's just to bad that pomona electronics doesn't make rca inputs for the low level signals. The tellurium copper is designed to insure accurate measurements in the "nano-volt and 10^9 ohmic regions" in the pdf for (the spades model 2305), and is not minimizing signal loss and maximizing signal transfer the whole goal of searching for good connectors. I can only imagine that 63A and 400A optimized parts don't have optimized minimal contact resistance which is important for subtle signals near the noise threshold.

Why do you mean, that 400 A device not conduct signal " near the noise treshold " ? This is only marketing blables .

To me, the Pomona terminals sound a little bit too analytic - not harsh but analytic. Bass seems well defined and the midrange is very clear but with a slight extension in the highs. Soundstage is pretty wide though and the imaging is incredible.

What makes you think I do not?

I think they sound pretty much like Siemens MKP coupling caps paired with Riken resistors in the feedback loop if you know what I mean. Slightly grainy in the upper femal vocal range but very detailed.
