Default My Second GC...

Hi All-

I'm building my second GC based on BrianGT's boards and was curious if anyone has used these enclosures before?

I now need to build the pwr supply and they sell a larger version of this case but I don't know if the "rails" on the bottom of the enclosures would line up.

If anyone knows there input would be appreciated.

Thank in advance,

Troy

The case open:

The wires are actually on the bottom side of the case.

You can just make out the 2 groves on the bottom and the single on on the top.

I mounted the chips to the top grove and want to use the bottom grove to connect the pwr supply case to the amp case.

Thanks again,

Troy

Hello Troy,

Well there's a coincidence - I was searching for details of that exact same case yesterday!

I'm trying to find a dimensioned drawing to see what size transformer I can squeeze in for my Gainclone. Do you know the manufacturer of this case?

Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

Regards,
David.

In this enclosure you will " bake " this amp, 'cos Rth is too big, respectively thermal protector of LM's will be reagiert soon. Rather use " correct " heatsink.

I used these cases in my GCs and they were great.

See my webpage and navigate to GC3

Hi Upupa-

I am planning on adding more mass to this enclosure by mounting it on the pwr supply enclosure and putting heat sink grease between the two.

Also, this is a desk amp to drive a pair of very close speakers. I doubt it will come out of idle much.

Hey David-

The enclosure was bought from Parts Express and I "THINK" made by Hammond.

Thanks,

Troy
