Default lm3886 stereo setup

I saw from the data sheet that lm3886 can deliver 68W into single 4ohm load.So if I plan to build two channels using 2 3886 chips then it essentially becomes mono setup right? But in the discussion threads in the forum I observed people talking about stereo setup with 3886 .How is this possible?

RS1026,

The 3886 is a single channel. The stereo setup people talk about is by using 2 of the chips. Go ahead & build one, it sounds wonderful. BTW it is available in SP road for 150/-

cheers,
sunil
