Default Measure DC offset Gainclone

How do you measure the DC offset of a Gainclone?

Must i connect a source while measuring? If so, must the source be turned on or off?

Must i pop up the volume of the Gainclone while measuring?

Meter on DC milivolts, connected paraleel over the loudspeakeroutputs?

Just put your multimeter across the two output wires. Start on a high voltage setting on the MM then lower it until you see a reading.

No Source needed.

Volume doesn't matter so much but it will vary with different volume setting.

Some discussion about what is normal in this thread I started here:
DC offset problem

and a good page that covered your questions here:

Default Re: Measure DC offset Gainclone

This is how I did it (mind you, this is my first GC - I'm no expert)

I didn't connect a source.
Volume turned up to the max - actually I don't have a volume control, so it's at max by default
Meter first at max dc volts, measure at output. Reduce it step by step till you hit millivolts.

Some people put a 10 ohm 5W resistor as the load and measure across this resistor. I didn't. I tried measuring with a sacrificial-goat-speaker connected as load and didn't find any difference. got 70mV with and without load. I guess output impedance of the GC is low enough that the load doesn't make a big difference.
