....IC amp.
This is more of repair question than a DIY one, so please politely tell me if I am out of line. I am working on a Kenwood KR-3400 receiver circa 1974 that uses a single IC power amp per channel, part number KA-40W. It appears to be a custom unit, and I can find nothing to cross reference with it. Is their an aftermarket replacement part? Kenwood indicated they no longer make the part and would say no more. Thank you for any help.

if you get stuck, you could try your luck at the wrecking yard.
