Default help with an audio amp

hello there... i m new in this site... but it sounds cool
so i need ur help plz
i m trying to make an audio amp that can amplify the signal from a cd-player and give it to a horn tweeter ( 1 or 2 ohms) ... well what i need is that the intensity on the battery (12 v battery ) shouldn't pass the 0.5 A ... what amp with the maximum power can i use ??? i mean a 10w ?? a 16?? dunno ... what is the maximum ?? plz just 0.5 A on the 12 battery
