Hi, all
As a newer type of NS overtrue amp series,I wonder that...why fewer person use it? If it sound worse?
and...I prepare to use LM4610 as the preamp,I like the DC
control in it ,but my friends advise me to use OP,such as
NE5532,AD827,OP275...,I also want to know,LM4610 and OP,
which is suit for LM4766 in audio system, and which OP sounds best?
Thanks!

i use LM4766's all the time

greatly simplifies a stereo amp, only 13 parts + ic rather then 9 parts per channel. 40Watts per channel is plenty, 80W bridged.

they sound awesome too, i really don't know why people fear the stereo IC's so much - it's just two mono IC's that share the same power supply and package

LM3875 with not as many pins allows you to use P2P connections instead of a PCB, which is much simpler (relative term).

Alright, I give up!

iR,

Ok, while I'm dying to read how to glue beers cans to my guitar case, I'd settle for a diagram of the LM4766 amp. I looked but couldn't seem to find it. I find the stereo 40wpc BLO (Blog-like-object) in the News section, but no real info. Is it on the to-do? Did you follow the data sheet?

Cheers,

ya. tis built as per datasheet

the LM4766 and LM1876 are interchangeable. the 4766 being 40Wpch and the 1876 being 20

the only difference is the mute resistor which sould be equal in Kohm to the value of your + or - rail. i.e if your amps runs +/-32Volts, use 32K per mute pin or 16K to drain both mute lines via one resistor

here's a few closeups of the bottom of an LM4766/1876 board, the circuit i used is at the bottom right, circuit is exaclty as per datasheet: http://oc4free.scalded.net/amplifier/amp3.html

i'll do a writeup one day, but i am very lazy and instead spend most time on my forums ;)

ooh speaking of which, heres the LM4766 amop my friend built, i got him addicted to these chips! http://oc4free.scalded.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1923&highlight=lm4766

any questions just email me or ask at the forum
