Richard.C said:Hi all
I'm going to choose one chip amp of LM4766,LM3886,TDA7294 or TDA1514 for my personal Hi-Fi center,
which sounds best?
Thanks!
LM3875.
Richard.C said:I can't understand that ....as to the parameter in the Datasheet ,LM3886 is better than LM3875 but the SNR,why many peple think LM3875 is the better choice?
Some people prefer the sound of tubes and the parameters of those amps are nowhere near the ones of SS. I think it's just easier to work with LM3875 compared to lm3886, because it has less pins to work with and I like P2P. Sound: you have to decide for yourself. Configuration, schematic, parts, preamps, speakers..... To me, the less parts in the way of the signal the better (combined with a sensible circuit design, of course), because all components have their sonic characteristics, so less time spent on tweaking (less places one can screw-up the signal) and more time for listening to music.
Build them and tell us what you think.

if you stick with power opamps that are 'known' to be good, it's more a matter of choice...
Do you want to match them with your (theoretically speaking) hard-to-drive loudspeakers or do you have a fantastically easy to drive, super high sensitivity horn system?
here's a thread that lists the most used power opamps in commercial products.
