Default newbie question about speaker wires

what happens when you connect the + of the speaker to the - of the amp?

is it going to destroy your speakers?

i think, ive read somewhere that you need to do this on the iverted gainclone( that the + of the speaker is connected to the - of the amp).

So you mean + of speaker to - of amp and - of speaker to + of amp?

This would just make the speaker move the other way. It doesn't do anything different, unless you hook one speaker up this way, and one the other way. This would cause phase cancellations (translation, no Bass). If you fade your system all the way left or right then back to the middle, and you notice more bass when faded to one side, you need to switch the leads on one of the speakers.

It cannot wreck your speakers to hook them up "backwards" because music is AC power.
