Talking yet another gainclone thread

Here is my stereo gc case that I am working on. Heatsinks are Conrad mf25-75 . I got the aluminum from a local place called Blue Collar Supply in Sacramento for a really good price. Thank you George!

Stack everything double, both GC and rectifier boards, and make a 4-channel GC. Right on top of eachother.

That case is capable as well as nice.

Nice looking work. Those heatsinks are going to be overkill for just 2 channels, I second the idea of making it 4 channel.

Great to see another person from Sacramento. Thanks for the info on the metal shop, I'll have to check it out for some of my own cases.

Don't think there's enough height to double.

Hello,

I did think about doing that, maybe in bridged mode ? I don't believe I can fit multiple toroids in there though Ignore my hack job with standoffs, it works with 0.25 on the bottom and 1.25 on top of the bottom board.

Default small update

I got the final needed components from Brian and populated the boards. I used Panasonic capacitors on the psu and amplifier boards, saved the BlackGate 4.7s for later use.

Power supply works fine, 36 volts on each side . Now I just need to mount the chips to the heatsinks. I had small problem on one side, after I made a 6-32 tap i tested it with aluminum bolt and broke it

I managed to drill it out with a very fine drill bit right in the center, then used a hole punch that I stuck inside the broken bolt that was stuck in the heatsink thread and removed it

Very nice work. What is the VA of the transformer?

Blue Collar Supply had Aleph heatsinks a couple of years ago..
I guess I should drive over just to visit them!!
