I propose that a Permanent: thread be created to contain safe practices and advice for diy amplifier builders. Many forum members are audio enthusiasts but do not have electrical technical experience or education (me for example!). This thread would collect safety-related knowledge from more experienced members and always be visible at the top of the forum.
I don't want my ignorance of electrical safety issues to burn down my house or electrocute my 3-year-old. And the thought of electrocuting the cat is more than I could bear Are there are some members with CSA/UL/EC approvals expertise to share? I have access to audio amplifier engineers if there are questions. Perhaps someone can write up a disclaimer to kick it off. Moderators, what do you think? Dave
