I have a friend who has a studio, he wants me to build a 'clone for him because he loves the sound.
its for the upstairs "lounge" system but he really does need "tone" because some demos are recorded badly and he needs to give them the benifit of the doubt (recorded in unideal ways )anyhow i want to put a "tone control" that is as good sounding as possible and uses as few opamps as possible. the whole idea of my amp is really short signal path. (will be bypass switch to mercury wetted relay for normal listening) anyone know whats the best idea for a non intrusive tone control? i have an "apt" (replaced caps with BG etc) preamp and its tone control seems to be very good without screwing the sound too much(although off is better) .. any pointers would be greatly appreciated. |

Those look good, I will make one that is with the high quality op amps, but the other circuit. i like the 2 levels of control with his "defeat" but i will also put a real bypass in there
