As mentioned in the LM3886 data sheet, the LM3886 needs 500 uA through the MUTE pin to fully un-mute. Thus, ensure that the MUTE current doesn't droop below 500 uA at the worst case supply voltage (including ripple voltage).

There's about 3 V across the MUTE circuit in the LM3886, so following Ohm's Law, you can work out the needed resistance:

RMUTE_max = (Vsupply_min - 3)/0.0005

I'd round down to the nearest lower E-12 value for RMUTE.

Modulus-686: 240W/8Ω @ <0.00025% THD. Modulus-86: 40W/8Ω @ 0.000054% THD. DG300B & Other Tube Circuits.
