chip amp with 500va +50v0-50v toroidal ????

500va +50v 0 -50v
secondary +10v 0 -10v

Plenty, look at something like the slewmaster or honey badger pcbs through this site. Rectified, your 50v rails are way too high for any of the common chip amps though. So took you'll need to look at discrete designs.

2 power transistors + class AB chip like LME49830.
Or 2 power transistors + class D chip like IRS2092.

With hybrid chimp-amp STK series one can go to high voltages +80 0 -80.

The potential of STK404x series are under looked due to their age factor.

I tried STK4048XI (fully complimentary NPN - PNP driver stage) coupled with extra four power transistors - 2x 2SA1943 & 2x 2SC2500 - in the output. With this topology to boost chipamp power one can extract copious amount of power. My objective was to drive a subwoofer. Tested working right from +12 0 -12 to
+60 0 -60

Not seen anybody in the forum do this with STK series.
