TX help for GC

hi all,

I want to build monoblocks, I found this nice TXs:
http://www.rsisrael.com/cgi-bin/bv/s...quickSubmit=Go
all the TXs are 25VX2 no 25VX1, may I (and how) use it anyway ? What VA value to choose ?

thanks, Yuval

I would suggest using a transformer with 18 volt secondaries (223-2285).

To wire up one of these transformers you will need to know the colour coding of the wires which should come on the packaging (box).

Twin secondaries are ideal as it gives you the opportinity to use either one or two recfifier bridges.

You may find it helpful to read more about this on the

Decibel Dungeon FAQ pages . ;)

OK ... so if I get it right, I need to short one pair of 0v-18v and use the other one to connect to rectifier bridge ?

That's right :)

oops...
I meant, I take the 0v from one pair and the 18v from the second pair - somthing like this ? does it make sense ?

----18--------------- to recfifier
---0-----|
----18--|
---0----------------- to recfifier

That's right, infact, that's what I thought you meant the first time. The centre 'pair' are connected, as you've drawn.
