Cambridge Audio A5 - lost channel

My cambridge audio A5 integrated amp has lost all sound from the right channel. I have tried switching the input and speaker wires and it is definitely a problem with the right channel. Weirdly when I unplug the amplifier then re-plug it in the right channel works for a short while (~1 hour) before dying. This happens every time and regardless of which input I use. Any suggestions would be great.

Most likely an output transistor , common issue with the cheap Cambridge range .
If you use it at high volume or your speakers have a diffulcult load they soon fail.
Have you looked inside yet ?

Ah ok. Thanks. Yes I have looked inside but couldn't see anything that looked problematic.

You would need to get a lot more 'hands on' and at the very least do some careful DC voltage measurements when the problem appears.

Does the problem respond to physical prodding and poking of the board ?
