I'm wondering if there would be any real benefit to adding a Bottlehead Quickie 1.1 https://bottlehead.com/product/quickie-1-1-battery-powered-directly-heated-tube-preamplifier-kit/ to an AudioSector LM3875 amp DIY Chip Amplifier Kits, PCB's, Components and Information. I built a while back.
My source is either a Squeezebox Touch or digital music through a FiiO DAC. I imagine it wouldn't hurt to add it, but I'm wondering if there would be any real sonic advantage.
Any comments or thoughts???
Thanks,
Mike

I designed a TDA7294 amp with a 12au7 SRPP front end and liked the warmth and detail the valve gave it.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
