Has anyone had any success with a Linkwitz Transform? What set up are you running with? Any schematics?

I spent this afternoon playing with a rudimentary LT, and I found that it sends my amp into protection mode pretty quick also I got some ocillation. except for that I think the concept is good. I just need to tweak it .

Hi,
You probably checked this, but just in case http://sound.westhost.com/linkwitz-transform.htm#example
I`m using input mixer/summer shown at the 1st schematic and fig.2 LT at http://sound.westhost.com/project71.htm with no issues whatsoever. As to your problems, you could change the high pass filter from 7 Hz showed in original circuit to somewhat higher or to change the slope to 12 db/oct. Not confident about HF oscilattion origin though. My setup is TDA 7293 amp, 80W or so, 10` "can`t remember" driver in 25 L, worked superb from the first try. Be sure to use capable drivers (high power/long stroke/large diameter/stiff cone) measure Qts if possible and take advantage of equalisation freedom- set it to Q 0,5. Best bass out of box IMO.

Regards

At the risk of posting twice (I think there is a thread in Chip aps and solid state?)

Might be worth buying the circuit board, as the circuit will be more fully developed and debugged. The results will be more deterministic. I have not seen anyone mention oscillation concerns with the PC board implementations.

If you buy via credit card and let the card do the conversion the price will likely be better than the PayPal price.
