The Parts express transformers got me thinking about parts suppliers... does anyone use parts express for their supplies? I'm not going for ultra high fidelity yet, just something to play with. I know digikey exists, and used them a lot through school, but I am always using PE for speaker building stuff and could tack on gainclone stuff. Thanks.

I really like PE--they have great customer service and good prices, but they don't have a lot of things you need for amp building. I buy everything I can from them in 1 big order to save on shipping, but you will still have to get stuff from Digikey or Mouser or such to build a GC.

Thanks for the vote of confidence from PE, they have a 400V 25A bridge rectifier, any thoughts on using it, I know people are particular about bridges.
Great to hear from some other pirate fan, PNC is just an awesome ballpark. Might even have a team worthy of it in a few years... |
