Tube rectifier for VDIGC tube psu

Hello,

I want to build a VBIGC.
And was thinking about the tube psu.
It has to be possible to use a Tube rectifier in the psu for the 6922.
The reason i want to do this is because the psu will be slow starting.
So no power up sounds.
And they (some tube forums) say the tube rectifiers sound better.

Do any of you know more about this things.

Problem is you need to delay the chip supply not the buffer,you will still get noise when the buffer starts to conduct.

I have a valve buffered chip amp along with others and we appear to agree,that atleast 20 seconds is needed to obtain zero startup noise.

For avoiding the turn-on thump, I think Joe Rasmussen's design of a small transformer left powered up continuously is most elegant, which is probably why everyone on this forum avoids building it that way
