Default What are you using for LM384's?

One of my old favorite chips, the LM383, is discontinued. In it's place, we have the LM384, which uses those PITA heatsinks for DIP chips, shown in the attachment.

Anybody have DIY solutions for heatsinks for these chips? If I tried to just solder the middle 6 pins of the DIP to a regular heat sink, would the solder inhibit good heat transfer, or do a decent job?

this is what i did. simply bolted down a heatsink salvaged from a PC power supply. works okay. i expect it'd get mighty hot at full power for long periods tho

(p.s this 5W per channel amp was designed to bolt on to a mounting bracker and slot into a computer)
