Tom was suggesting that, but you need to verify which channel has dc on output pin. If one channel has no dc, but the other does, relay will not click. So no sound.
But if one channel has dc, and you just cut that pin (because is faulty and you need to replace chip), by doing so, the relay may click and you will hear sound in good channel.
