Oh I'm definitely going to finish this amp at some point, just needed something immediate as I had no way of really practicing or performing without borrowing equipment. I've been eyeballing effects pedals that use chipamps and found some cool designs that actually use the lm386 as a basis as it is a really versatile chip for distortion pedals apparently. I'm still going to keep an eye out for tube amps. I have a buddy that just came into a HUGE stock of tubes from an uncle that used to repair TVs back in the day, even has a tube tester... may be getting up with him after I do some more reading.
