Multi-amping Troels Gravesen's OBL-11
I am building Troels' OBL11 (OBL11), and recently the multi-amping idea arised in my mind. Since the speaker is fairly efficient (ca 95dB), the required power should be managable. Troels' comment on powering OBL-11:
I have been studying various approaches, but before I start rambling with my own half-done ideas, I'd like to ask what would you guys (and girls) suggest.
So, the question is:
how would you choose the amps for this particular application?
Cost can be regarded as a secondary constraint, but the solution should be DIY, based on commercially available components.
Primary objective is best possible sound (dynamic range/SNR/THD), and the deterministic use case (it is known that the amp is driving a single, predefined chassis).
I'm looking forward to new ideas!
