Hello,

I am planning to DIY a pair of active subwoofer using SS 25W/8565-01 as drivers.
The cabinet should be 50~60L vented.
Now, I am looking for the circuit that need to include:

1) the amplication, preferably using chip amp. (e.g. LM3875 or OPA549)
2) the equalization to equalize the not so smooth SPL
3) the active XO, better selectable.

Thanks very much!

Alvin.

No interest?

I would have thought a DIY subwoofer amp would be a popular topic.

I have attached a 240w class-D schematic from a new philips chip TDS8924. This is attractive for a DIY subwoofer as it has a very low parts count (simple design), high power, acceptable performance, needs a small heatsink & small power supply. Only trouble is it is not available to purchase yet as the chip is new.

Regards,

Dean
